WRHS GT - Jeffco's Gifted and Talented Center Programming

SPECIAL NOTICE!: Welcome to the WRHS GT Website! If you are accessing our site to attend GT Night on May 1st from 4-7, please use this link to go to our GT Night website, see you there!

Welcome to the Wheat Ridge High School Gifted and Talented Center Page!

We are a Gifted and Talented Center at the High School level, which is based on the Autonomous Learner Model. We work to improve our students' skills in autonomy, self-advocation skills, their passions, and social-emotional support. We are based at a school that has a full class load of AP and Honors options. Our center is designed to support students in these classes, or whichever types of classes they choose to be a part of; whether they're taking a full advanced class load, or need support in their day-to-day life, our students span many portions of what a high schooler can be.

If you are interested in applying to the center:

Students who are not currently in a GT Center must complete an application process prior to completing Enroll Jeffco. Testing data may be required if prior data is more than 2 years old.

Please contact Connie Brown at: connie.brown@jeffco.k12.co.us

to begin the application process, as well as asking any questions about applications.

If you would like to set up a shadowing day:

Apologies, we currently cannot do any in-person shadowing for our program, due to COVID. However, we would LOVE to get your student to come virtually "shadow" our class Monday or Wednesday from 9:00 - 1:10, or Tuesday or Thursday from 7:35 - 11:45. Please email both Lisa Lee and Elliott Holm at Lisa.Lee@jeffco.k12.co.us and Elliott.Holm@jeffco.k12.co.us and tell us the date and time that works for you, and we can get our class link to you!

We also did a presentation at our school Showcase Night on December 2nd from 6-8. If you weren't able to attend, please follow the directions in the school Showcase Night website located here: https://sites.google.com/jeffcoschools.us/wrhsshowcase2020/presentations to find the presentation and view it.

Please also go and check out our WRHS Gifted and Talented Facebook Page!
