The High School GT Center accepts applications at various times per year.

 Schedule a Shadow Day! 

One great way to make this important decision is for a potential GT Center student to arrange a day to shadow some of our students at the WRHS Gifted and Talented Center.

Please fill out our Google Form at this Link, in order to schedule an optimal day.  If you have any questions about the form, please contact Elliott Holm at Elliott.Holm@jeffco.k12.co.us.

We will:

- - focus on strengths and interests while arranging for a GT student who has the classes which interest the student most to serve as a guide for the day.

- - recommend a day that works - - (We schedule shadows on Mondays and Tuesdays).

- - recommend that the student stay for  as much time as they need (Full Day, Half Day, Individual classes), in order to get a good sense of the GT community, as well as their choice of academic classes.

 - - confirm the date, drop off time, and pick up time.

- - meet the student (and parent, if preferred) in the GT Room that morning, introduce the first student shadow, review the day's plan, and also escort the prospective student back to the traffic circle in the front of the school to meet parents.

- - check-in with the shadowing student throughout the day.

- - address any follow-up questions the student or parent may have and assist with the subsequent steps in the application process.
