All About Me

Hi! My name is Charity Witherell. 

 I have been teaching in Jeffco for 25 years and have taught all grade levels Kindergarten through Fourth grade. This is my eighth year at West Jeff Elementary. I am so thankful to be able to live and teach in the same community, and to be working with the amazing people at WJES! I received my undergraduate from Colorado Christian University in Lakewood, and my Masters in Education in "Curriculum and Instruction" from the University of Phoenix.

 I am married and have two children, Bennett and Katelynn. Bennett is in high school and Katelynn is starting her first year in middle school.  They both stay active with different sports and hobbies. Currently, they are  both running Cross Country.  

 I grew up in a military family so we moved a lot, but I'm grateful for the traveling opportunities that I had going to different countries. I was able to experience the cultures and traditions of the people and how they live. I met some wonderful people too! I think that is one reason I still love traveling to different countries.

 Some other hobbies I enjoy are running, hiking, skiing, being outdoors, and spending time with my family and friends. 

I am so excited to be teaching First Grade!
