Career and Academic Planning

INDIVIDUAL CAREER AND ACTION PLAN (ICAP)

The school counselors visit classrooms to talk with students about their Individual Career & Action Plan (ICAP). ICAP is a multi-year process that intentionally guides students and families in the exploration of career, academic and postsecondary opportunities. With the support of adults, students develop the awareness, knowledge, attitudes, and skills to create their own meaningful and powerful pathways to Postsecondary and Workforce Readiness (PWR).

Students and parents should be aware that ICAP completion is an additional high school graduation requirement starting with the class of 2021. Lessons have been created specifically for each grade level and differ in their content. Students will update their ICAP learning year after year on a website called Naviance all the way through completion of high school. If you are interested in learning more about ICAP, we encourage you to connect with one of the counselors and we will be happy to answer any questions.
