Additional Supports

Circles- Every advisement class engages in weekly Circles to build connections within the classroom and strengthen positive school climate and culture. Research shows that students do better in school when they feel connected

Social Emotional (SEL) Groups and Counseling Groups- Our mental health team offers ongoing Tier 2 supports for students who would like additional emotional support and/or practice with coping skills in a group setting. Some of these groups include: Mindfulness Group, Friendship Group, Anger-Management Group and Divorce-Support/ Family Changes Group

Individual Counseling- Students are encouraged to fill out a counseling form to request to talk to a mental health support team member

Sources of Strength- is a suicide-prevention program focused on connecting students to their strengths. Every student participates in monthly Sources campaigns that are engaging, interactive and fun

WEB Program ("Where Everyone Belongs")- We help incoming 6th graders transition into middle school and empower them with connections and resources for growth. We pair 6th grade classes with 8th grade WEB leaders who lead fun activities throughout the school year for purposes of positive interaction, connection and positive school climate and culture

GT Mindfulness Group- This is for gifted & talented students to connect with peers and learn Mindfulness techniques and participate in mini-workshops geared to help support their unique needs
