Why Peer Counseling?
Our goal as Peer Counselors is to help the students at Ralston Valley navigate their high school experience and support them through all four years of their journey at RV. We want to create a safe environment where students feel empowered to share their feelings, stresses, worries, or anything under the broad umbrella of mental health.
We are eager to help students find solutions or just offer a listening ear. Our job as Peer Counselors is especially important because students should have the option to talk to someone who speaks their language and understands the struggles that can emerge during their day-to-day lives at Ralston Valley.

R - Resource
Our number one job as a peer counseling team is to create a variety of resources for students. Wether you feel more comfortable talking online, with an adult counselor, or with a peer. We are here to help make sure that you get the things you need.
V - Vulnerability
Vulnerability is something that does not come easily to most people, but it is an important skill to have. We want to create a space where students can feel supported while being vulnerable.
H - Health
We are dedicated to helping you find outlets and resources. Your mental health is something that should come first and we want to make sure that all your needs are taken care of.
S - Support
As a peer counseling team one of our most important jobs and our goals is to support you through your life throughout high school. Weather its sitting down and talking to us or us giving resources to help you through your life in high school.
