Liam Lacon is a lacrosse coach and former collegiate athlete with experience both competing and coaching at high levels of the game. His background includes elite NCAA Division III programs, championship-winning high school coaching, and extensive work with club and camp athletes.
At the high school level, Liam attended La Salle College High School, where he competed in two state championship runs under Hall of Fame coach Tony Resch. He was also awarded the George Kruse Award, recognizing leadership, character, and commitment to the program, an honor that reflects the standards Liam continues to bring into his coaching.
Liam competed at the NCAA level for Gettysburg College, playing under legendary head coach Hank Janczyk, one of the most accomplished coaches in Division III lacrosse history and a multiple-time National Coach of the Year. During Liam’s tenure, Gettysburg consistently ranked as a Top-10 Division III program and made an Elite Eight appearance, competing in a demanding, detail-driven system that emphasized discipline, communication, and team defense.
He later continued his collegiate career at DeSales University, where he emerged as a defensive leader. Liam earned Second Team All–MAC (Middle Atlantic Conference) honors, ranked among the conference leaders in caused turnovers per game.
As a coach, Liam has worked extensively with athletes through various lacrosse camps, gaining experience across multiple age groups and talent levels. He spent his first varsity spring coaching at Ralston Valley High School, contributing to a 2025 Conference Championship season. In addition, Liam currently coaches Team 91 Northside’s 2027 team, where he focuses on long-term player development, defensive fundamentals, and preparing athletes for success at the high school and collegiate levels.
Liam’s coaching philosophy emphasizes communication, effort, and attention to detail, with a strong focus on defensive IQ and team concepts. His experience in elite collegiate environments and championship-level programs allows him to teach players not only how to improve their skills, but how to compete, lead, and prepare for the next level.
