AP World History

Students: World History is a year long course that is a necessary graduation requirement for the district. AP World history, however, is an optional rigorous course that you have OPTED to take. Expect to write an essay once a week and take college level exams 3-4 times a semester. I will offer periodic Sunday study sessions to help you. Students can ALWAYS come to my room during an off block to work on AP World or receive one on one help. A great deal of the information you need will be on Google Classroom, but many deadlines and assignments are given only in class. If you are unsure, you can always email me for clarification - rkastele@jeffco.k12.co.us

Parents & Guardians: I value your support and input. If your student is struggling, I first would like for them to communicate with me, to help them advocate for themselves. For students taking an AP history course for the first time, you may find they struggle to get their footing the first 3-4 weeks. Once they understand the unique nature of the course they will see significant improvement to their grades. However, my door is always open and you may reach out to me via my email, rkastele@jeffco.k12.co.us or my direct line 619 905 5791. if an issue arises or if you have any questions, comments, or concerns. You can opt in to receive updates on your students course work, deadlines, and missing assignments through our Google Classroom platform.
