What We're About.
The theatre program at Ralston Valley is committed to building an inclusive community of students who train and perform in all aspects of the theatre art form. You can get involved in any number of ways, from taking classes during the school day, to getting involved in the after-school productions (fall play and spring musical), to joining the Thespian Theatre Troupe. Don't be afraid to try something new! Participating in the theatre program is a great way to make friends, get involved, and find a place to belong at Ralston Valley.
Register for Jeffco Theatre Festival By Oct 1
The Jeffco Theatre Festival is an amazing opportunity for Jeffco theatre students to explore and learn from industry professionals through workshops, showcase their talents in individual events (IEs), receive feedback for college and scholarship auditions, and view other performances by students throughout the district.
When is it and Where?
Tuesday, Oct 22, 2024 at the Arvada Center
8:00 AM-3:00 PM: Workshops, Ceremonies, and Performances
There will be 10 minute breaks between sessions, and a 40 minute break for lunch.
How much is it?
It's free for the first 200 to register, so do it NOW!

Register for ThesCon By Sept 6th
The Colorado State Thespian Conference is a wonderful opportunity for all theatre students. Similarly to the Jeffco Theatre Festival attendees are given the ability to take part in workshops lead by industry professionals, showcase their talents in IEs, and receive feedback for college and scholarship auditions. They may also have their performances viewed by all those who attend at the end of the weekend. Attendees will also be able to attend selected shows and more at the end of each day when assemblies are held.
When is it and Where?
Thursday-Saturday, Dec 12-14
All Day: Workshops, Ceremonies, and Performances
There will be 10 minute breaks between sessions, and a 60 minute break for lunch.

FRIDAY, SEPT 6, 3:30 PM
The first panel will feature area theatre faculty who will talk about auditions, tech and design portfolios, what they are looking for in student applications, and what stands out in terms of awarding scholarships. Schools represented will include Metro State University Denver, Red Rocks Community College, University of Colorado Boulder, University of Denver, and University of Northern Colorado.
SATURDAY, SEPT 7, 1:00 PM
The second panel will feature recent high school graduates, now enrolled in theatre programs across the country, who will share their experiences in evaluating their options, applying to, auditioning for, and ultimately selecting a school.
