Hello Demons!!! My name is Ms. Roberts (Ms. R). I deeply believe that the best learning happens in a safe and welcoming space, and strive to create that for every student who walks through my door.
I was born and raised in Colorado and all 12 years of my pre-collegiate education were spent in JeffCo Public Schools. I attended Stott Elementary and Oberon Middle School, and graduated from Arvada West High School in 2012. After that, I went to the University of Colorado Denver, where I received my BA in Psychology and minored in Ethics and Women's/Gender Studies in 2016. In 2024, I graduated from the University of Denver with my MA in Curriculum & Instruction. This will be my fifth year at Golden High School!
Outside of school, I love to spend my time with my boyfriend, Charlie, and his daughter, Nora, going to museums, exploring old cemeteries, crafting, ice skating, watching sports (go Horns, go Buffs, go Cowboys, and go Nuggets!) or true crime and history documentaries, and in the mountains hiking and camping ! We have 4 animals; a yellow Labrador retriever named Winnie, a black Boxer/Lab mix named Morty, a ball python named Lolli, and a tarantula named Wednesday.
I am SO excited to be able to spend time with you in our classroom this school year! Go Demons!
