In Writing we will look at the elements of narrative writing. 4th graders will begin to understand how to use sensory language to help their reader experience their writing. We'll also work on the grammar of different sentence types.
in Unit 1: Factors and Multiples, 4th graders will
Determine if a number is prime or composite.
Explain what it means to be a factor or a multiple of a whole number.
Relate the side lengths and area of a rectangle to factors and multiples
Apply multiplication fluency within 100 and the relationship between multiplication and division to find factor pairs and multiples.
In Science, we will be learning about Earth's Systems and Structures. We will look at how different processes shaped Earth's features.

Generate and compare multiple solutions to reduce the impacts of natural Earth processes on humans
In Social Studies this year we are focusing on Colorado. We will begin by looking the geographical regions of Colorado. We will be mapping the different features of Colorado.
