Not your mom or dad's geography class! A brief unit on the fundamentals of geography (location, latitude/longitude, map types, etc) gives way to a more human understanding of our place in the world and how we use our resources.

TEACHING: A Jeffco graduate myself (Arvada West 1989), I have been teaching in Jefferson County Public Schools since 1994 - 2 years at Green Mountain High School, 9 years at Conifer High School, and since the fall of 2006 at Chatfield Senior High School. Within the Social Studies curriculum I've taught US History, World History, Economics, US Government, and World Geography. Outside of Social Studies, I've even taught a semester each of Team Sports and Percussion!
COACHING: In the fall I coach the JV boys' soccer team at CSH and have since 2010. In the winter I have been the coach for the Varsity girls' basketball team at D'Evelyn High School since 2006. And in the spring I have coached the C Team girls' soccer at CSH since 2023.
PERSONAL: I married my best friend in 1997 and we have 2 fantastic, adult children - Kiernan and Kellen! I have my master's degree in Secondary School Counseling and also my Principal's License.
