Hello fourth grade families!

My name is Lauren Cook and I am super excited to be a part of your child's learning experience this year. I can't wait to kick off this school year! I  look forward to partnering together and ensuring your child's growth and success! 

I am so excited to be apart of this incredible community! This will be my fourth year teaching fourth grade at Mount Carbon. I graduated from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville (Go Vols!) with a master's degree in Elementary Education.

I grew up in Knoxville, TN and moved to Colorado three years ago. In my free time I enjoy reading, hiking, camping, and spending time with my loved ones (including my crazy cat, Tux). 

I'm so excited to be your child's teacher. I can't wait to get this year started and to begin this exciting journey with you and your child!

My name is Ashley McFerrin and I am so delighted to be your child’s teacher this year!  This is my 2nd year teaching and I am so thankful to be a part of your student's academic journey. I have been at Mount Carbon for my entire teaching journey and it has been amazing being a part of the Mount Carbon community for the past 2 years . I love teaching 4th grade, and I’m so excited for all the fun we are going to have this year! I can’t wait to get to know you and your child!

I  graduated from the University of Northern Colorado with my Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education. I am a Colorado native and have lived in Jefferson County for the last 14 years. I enjoy spending time with my family and my very energetic dog, Millie. I also love chai tea, reading, and anything fantasy. 

I am thrilled to be your student’s teacher! I know we will have a fun year filled with learning and growth all around.

My name is Rachel Tate and I am honored to be your child’s teacher this year!  This is my 9th year teaching  at Mount Carbon, but my first year in fourth grade. I have also  taught second grade and fifth grade. I am delighted to be starting a new adventure in a new grade. 

I  graduated from the University of Colorado Boulder with my Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and Metropolitan State University with my Masters in Elementary Education. I believe that the intersection of these two disciplines gives me a unique perspective to connect with every child and help them learn. 

I am thrilled to be your student’s teacher! Together, I have no doubt that we can help your child reach new heights.
