Meet the Teachers

 I am thrilled to start my sixth year with the Miller Preschool team  as an Early Childhood Special Educator (15th year  teaching). My daughter attended Miller Preschool 2016-2018 and I can't say enough about the amazing educators at Miller!  My kids are now 10 and 12 attending Bear Creek K-8.  When not teaching the mountains beckon me to pedal, paddle, run, ski, snowshoe, sled, and camp, usually with my husband, kids and mutt.  

I am excited to team with your family this year as we discover ways to celebrate, unlock and grow your kids' potentials!

I am so excited for my third year at Miller! I grew up in Boulder and went to undergrad in Iowa. After college, l returned home to attend grad school at University of Denver for my master's in early childhood special education. I spent a year doing special education case management at a Head Start school but was missing being in the classroom and am happy to be back in preschool. Outside of school, I teach dance and love to cook (and eat!), make art, and spend time in nature with my spouse and two dogs.  

I’m thrilled to be starting my second year at Fletcher Miller in the integrated preschool classroom. Originally I am from Telluride, CO, I moved to the Denver area to study computer science at the Colorado School of Mines, focusing on AAC development and advancement. My journey at Fletcher Miller began as a one-year break from school to gain hands-on experience with AAC devices in a classroom setting. During my first year, I fell in love with teaching and working with our incredible students and preschool team. This experience inspired me to pivot my career path, and I am now pursuing a degree in Early Childhood Education.

Outside of the classroom, I enjoy spending time in the great outdoors with my dog—hiking, camping, and swimming. I also love cooking, crocheting, reading, and attending live music events. I’m excited to see what this year brings and to continue growing with our wonderful preschool community 

I am delighted to be starting my 11th year at Fletcher Miller Preschool and so excited to spend my days with your precious children.  It is so fun to welcome new families and children and see returning families and kiddos again.

On a professional note, I have just completed my Bachelors of Science in Early Childhood Education and will be starting my student teaching in January.

Outside of Fletcher Miller I enjoy biking, hiking with my fiancé  Michael and walking my two silly dogs.  I have two amazing adult children who are 18 and 21; they are both still pursuing their educational goals.

Little fun fact!  I am from Scotland and travel there every year to see my family!

Hi, I am excited to join the preschool team at Fletcher Miller! I am from Chicago, IL, where I worked in a special education preschool classroom for 2 years. I've lived in Colorado over 2 years now, and recently moved to the Lakewood area. I have worked in elementary school special education programs and most recently, a child care center with 1-2 year-olds. I am ready to be back in Pre-K! In my free time, I love to travel, be outdoors, make art, listen to music, and read. I value creativity, sustainability, and play based learning. I am passionate about advocating for those with disabilities. I am glad to be here and looking forward to seeing what this school year has to offer! 

I am delighted to be starting my career here at Fletcher Miller with the preschool team!  I was previously a pharmacy technician working in specialty medications but decided I wanted to be more hands on with the people I help. I have previous experience working in an art classroom with SSN students and can't wait to gain more! 

Outside of school, I love spending time with others and trying new things. I also enjoy listening to music, playing video games, and reading. I'm super excited to be working with your preschoolers and helping their minds grow!
