Welcome back! I hope you had a great break, even under these conditions. I miss seeing you all every day and I hope you are all doing well and not going too crazy stuck at home. :) :)
I have entered the grades for the website energy project and there are many who are missing this project. This could be for the following reasons:
Please check campus and see which parts of the project you are missing, if any. If you have grades for all three parts (content, website, bibliography), then there is nothing you need to do. If you are missing the content grade, then I have not seen the project at all. If you are only missing technology and/or the bibliography, you probably did not share one or both with Ms. Chubb.
Your assignment today is to make sure this project is submitted to my self and Ms. Chubb in its entirety. And then fill out the form below.
Please review the video you watched before break (to the right) on immune system function and fill out the form below. We will start the solar system tomorrow!
Please start Take Home Experiment #5 today. The links below give you the directions and the lab report procedure. Please start taking your measurements by this weekend, at the latest. You are expected to have a total of 12-15 measurements. The due date for this assignment is 4/24. So, even if there are several cloudy days, you should have plenty of time to collect 12-15 pieces of data. Include weekend measurements, if necessary. The independent variable is time (days) and the dependent variables are the length of your shadow (in cm) and the temperature (in C or F) at the time of measurement.

The grade that your student had on March 12th will be the baseline grade for the rest of the trimester. That grade will remain the same or can improve as long as they continue to engage in their classes. Teachers will continue to grade work for the remainder of the trimester just like they normally would. At the end of the school year, teachers will compare the March 12th grade to the end of the trimester grade, and give your student the higher grade of the two.
March 12th grades will be communicated to students and families by Tuesday, April 21st. There will be an assignment with a grade listed in Campus called “March 12 Grade”. You will be receiving several notifications over the next few days as teachers work in Campus to calculate this grade. Please ignore these notifications. You can watch this short video created by a teacher at Arvada West HS with your student that explains how the March 12 Grade will be calculated in the system.
A student’s grade will be impacted negatively by non-participation. It is imperative that students continue to engage in their learning as it sets them up for success in the fall and for future coursework.
