Online Learning Tools

Reading Tools

Scholastic News is a periodical from Scholastic that focuses more on current events, making connections to history, and a debate.

Epic! is an online library full of books from every genre! Students can listen to some of the books and there are related videos to some. This is available to students for free until 4:30 pm on weekdays. See the flyer below for an offer for summer!

Writing Tools

To help organize our writing (and everything else!), we use TMLC, which is where students make online Thinking Maps. The school validation code is sheridanes and then student logins are their name and regular password.

Book Creator is exactly that, a place to make really cool books! Students can login through Google.

Other

SeeSaw is kind of a showcase for students to share what they are doing in the classroom with teachers and parents. They can login to their accounts using their Google login, and parents should check their email

Math Tools

XtraMath is for a daily dose of math facts. Students have an account that tracks when they are ready to move from addition to subtraction, and then to multiplication and division.
