Learn it, Do it, Teach it, Know it!

If people do not believe that mathematics is simple,

it is only because they do not realize how complicated life is.

TEACHER BIO

My name is Jason Ziegler, and I am a Colorado native. This next year will be my 18th year in the teaching profession, where I influence high schoolers in moderate to advanced pattern recognition and synthesis. I received my undergraduate BA in Psychology and minor in mathematics from the University of Colorado in Boulder Colorado in 2004. Upon graduating and having no desire to be a lab rat or high school counselor, both of which would have utilized my BA, I chose to teach using my math minor. Denver University is where I went to complete my license in teaching with a combined Masters in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis in Technology. What I like most about D'Evelyn Junior/Senior is that it is small enough that individual strengths are nurtured, yet academic rigor and integrity are not compromised.  Outside of teaching I YouTube (for too many hours), disc-golf, yo-yo, kendama, begleri, bowl (174 high ave.), go snow/skate/wake boarding, aqua-scape freshwater fish tanks, paint, play intramural softball, go to concerts (CSO, ECO,  Metal/Thrash,  folk), and the whole gambit of outdoor activities that the beautiful Rocky Mountains afford us. Let's be honest, these days when I'm not grading, I'm shuttling two offspring to a whole slew of activities.  Yay Mathematics!
