My name is Jillian Jacobs. This is my seventeenth year as a Jeffco teacher and my fifth year teaching 5th grade at Prospect Valley. I have been a part of the Prospect Valley community for a long time! Both of my children attended Prospect Valley, and I have been a volunteer, a PTA officer, and a teacher. I live in the neighborhood, so I might see you around!
I grew up in Queens, New York where I attended public school, including the Bronx High School of Science. I received my B.A. in sociology from SUNY Albany, my M.A. in sociology from New York University, and my teaching credentials at CU Boulder. In addition to my endorsement in Elementary Education, I have an endorsement in Secondary Social Studies and I am Highly Qualified in science.
During my free time, I like to hike, ski, kayak and workout in the gym. I am also an avid reader and have been a member of a book club for over 20 years. I have a son, London, starting his Masters in Public Policy at CU Denver and a daughter, Weather, starting her freshman year at Colorado Mesa University, and five cats.
I look forward to a fun and productive year!
