Welcome to 5th Grade
My name is Barbara Baros. This is my 20th year teaching in Jefferson County and my first year at Prospect Valley. I have previously taught 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade. This is my second year as part of the Prospect Valley Community.
I have lived in Denver, Colorado for most of my life. This is my second career. I was a Certified Athletic Trainer, on staff, at the University of Denver. I traveled with the Men's Soccer Team and Women's Gymnastics Team. I was responsible for the evaluation, care, and treatment of their injuries.
I decided I needed to fulfill my dream of becoming a teacher and make a change in my career. I was inspired to go into education by many family members who were and are teachers. I received my Bachelor's Degree from the Metropolitan State University and my Master's Degree from the University of Denver.
I grew up skiing, playing tennis, and taking dance classes. I competed in tennis and gymnastics through high school. I went to the State Tennis Tournament during my senior year in high school. My passion is being outdoors, gardening, making miniature gardens, watching and playing sports, and spending time with my family.
The best way to contact me is through email. I try to respond within 24 hours. Please reach out at any time with questions and concerns.
Sincerely,
Barbara Baros
