ABout Mr. Goldin

I am from the boonies of New Jersey.  Yet, I would often go to The City (New York City).  For middle and high school, I attend the Hun School.  While in high school, I ran cross country, wrestled, played lacrosse, and worked as an auto mechanic.

Upon high school graduation, I attended Vassar College where I majored in English, minored in education, and played lacrosse.  I was a starter for four years and a two-time captain.  After graduating from Vassar, I stayed in Upstate New York to student teach and be the second assistant lacrosse coach for Vassar.

However, I heard a calling to move out West.  Thus, in 2007, I came to Denver and got a teaching job at Rock Canyon High School.  I was also hired as the head varsity lacrosse coach.

In 2009, I left teaching to pursue my masters in Sport and Performance Psychology from the University of Denver.  At that time, I remained the head lacrosse coach at Rock Canyon.  Upon graduating from DU, I returned to RC as an English teacher and still remained the head lacrosse coach.  I was the coach at RC through the 2016 season.  And after the 2016/2017 school year, I left Rock Canyon.

My partner and I have been together since 2003; I met her in college.  We're happily married, have an awesome dog, son, and daughter.  (Our son and daughter are pretty great too.)

In 2017, I became an English teacher at Chatfield.  I'm also one of the faculty sponsors of the CSH Mountain Bike Team, Amnesty International, and Chess Club.  I'm extremely excited to be here.
