Credible Sources of Information:
These publication websites contain information about current events as well as commentary on these current events. We often use articles from these sites in order to analyze and interpret samples of purposeful writing, to identify and explain an author’s use of rhetorical strategies, and to create and sustain original arguments based upon our reading. Each publication has its own privacy policy, which can be found on each publication's homepage.

Google: Sites, Classroom, Calendar, Docs, Quizzes, and Forms
Students will use these various Google sites for many purposes: checking our class agenda; obtaining makeup work; writing and revising essays; completing and submitting in-class activities, quizzes, and questions; etc. Find Google's privacy policy here.
Khan Academy and College Board

MLA Formatting Help
All typed assignments for English classes must adhere to MLA format. These links to Purdue University's Online Writing Lab provide basic information about MLA requirements for formatting a paper and a Works Cited page, citing sources within a Works Cited page, and using parenthetical citation within an essay.
Turn It In
This is an anti-plagiarism website where students upload their essays to verify their academic honesty. Teachers can also grade and comment directly through the site. Find Turnitin's privacy policy here.
