Schedule: Mrs. Bridge teaches at Fremont Elementary and every 3 weeks teaches some K-2 classes at Meiklejohn Elementary
I am so happy to be the music teacher at Fremont Elementary School! This is my 5th year in Jeffco School District and my 9th year in the classroom. Previously I taught K-5 music, middle school choir and was a K-12 music substitute teacher in Boulder Valley School District for over 4 years. I am also a piano accompanist in the Boulder and Denver area and I play flute!
I have been in Colorado for nearly 20 years - even though I come from a country a little way East of here – the United Kingdom! Yes, I’m British and so is my family, although we have settled and made our life in Superior and we adore cycling, hiking, camping and skiing (my children ski way better than me!). We have made road trips to many of the US National Parks like Yosemite, Yellowstone, Grand Canyon, Sequoia, but of course we also enjoy travelling to the UK and Europe most summers to see our family and friends there - and lots of castles!
I obtained my K-12 music teaching licensure at CU Boulder in 2014, and a BA in music and French from Birmingham University, UK. I have also taught piano privately for several years. Previously I worked for twelve years in the British classical music industry both as a music artist manager, coordinating the schedules of international conductors, violinists and pianists, and as concerts manager for the UK’s City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra under world renowned conductor Sir Simon Rattle. When I am not music-making, or outdoors, I am spending time with my husband and grown children: - our soccer crazy CSU graduate son, and our daughter who is a senior at CU Boulder. I also love to cycle, hike, travel and cook. I am so excited to meet you and your children, and be part of their musical experience!
