Hello, wonderful families!

I'm so excited to introduce myself as Miss Thompson, your child's 4th-grade teacher for the coming school year! I'm genuinely thrilled to begin this new adventure with all of you and can't wait to get to know each student and family. This is my eighth year teaching and my third year right here at Foothills. I absolutely love teaching 4th grade because of all the exploring, learning, and fun we get to share!

As a proud Colorado native, I grew up attending Jefferson County Public Schools. I earned my bachelor's degree in Elementary Education with a focus on culturally and linguistically diverse education from MSU Denver. Later, I completed my master's degree in curriculum and instruction from WGU.

This summer was a fun mix of relaxation and new projects! I spent a lot of time reading, working on home renovations, and hanging out with friends. A definite highlight was a trip to South Dakota with two of my closest friends, where we visited Mt. Rushmore and a trip to Durango and Mesa Verde.
