Home Language Survey (HLS)

When you register your child, you are asked to fill out a Home Language Survey (HLS). The purpose of the HLS is to determine if any other language in addition to English is spoken at home.

If additional languages are spoken by family members or caretakers at home, we assess the English language proficiency of students.
