Elk Creek students will chose their favorite picture book during March Book Madness. The Sweet Sixteen includes 8 brackets of paired books. The first week classes choose which books they think will win (judging the books by the covers or what they may know of the book already). Then they vote.

The Elite 8 are announced next. And we vote again to choose our Final 4, the our Championship Match, followed by our winner announced Friday morning before we head off to our Spring Break.

All the while classes compete against each other earning points for correctly guessing the winners, voting for their favorites, completing activities, and more. The winner class gets two 30-minute recesses and a Breakout Box.
