Meet the Dean
Meet the Dean
Hello Foothills Falcons!
My name is Mrs. McKibben. I am so excited to start my 4th year as the Dean of Students! I am thrilled to lead The Dean Team, which is made up of an amazing group of 3rd-5th grade students, who lead and teach SOAR behavior, Restorative Practices, and Conflict Mediation. As Dean, my goal is to empower all our students to become life-long learners with a passion for helping others.
I am originally from Austin, Texas, but have been a Colorado resident since 1996. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education, Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction, a principal's license, and a secondary endorsement in social studies. After teaching for 18 years in Jeffco Public Schools, I began my journey as the Dean of Students here at Foothills. It has been a wild ride ever since!
When I’m not at school, I enjoy reading, writing, camping, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. Most of all, I love learning! Currently, I am learning how to speak Spanish and play the bagpipes. I especially love learning with my Foothills family and watching our students grow and achieve daily!
My Values
I value building relationships that inspire us to be kind to one another and empower us to learn and grow on purpose everyday.
I value community and discovering how to support each other in meaningful ways, so we can make a difference in the world.
I value teamwork, determination, diversity, equity, inclusion, and the courage to stand up for ourselves and others.
I value having fun, laughing, and finding joy in the little things each day.
