Sketchbooks

This was my third trading card of the semester.I really enjoyed being able to use acrylic paint, and I wanted to create something that captured my mood while painting this.

I used the sketchbook prompt of "Morning Coffee", to create a surreal, almost storybook scenery. I decided to use different media to emphasize the subject and add some texture.

My friends are the people most important to me in my life. For the prompt, "Soemthing you are grateful for", I decided to draw them. I chose a couple of my closest friends and drew them with graphite then used black marker to create contrast. I finally added some collage to tie it all together.

This sketch is based off of my sister, while she was working. I weanted to play a lot wiht shape, form, and color in the sketch.

This sketchbook was based off of a jelly jar that my aunt canned and gave to my family. I wanted to experiment with the form of the jelly and the jar through the use of multiple medias.
