Welcome! I'm Ms. McElroy (Nancy), and I look forward to getting to know you and your child. I know it will be a great year of learning! I've taught K-3 students for 18 years. This is my 4th year teaching 2nd grade at Bradford. I absolutely love teaching second grade, and I feel so fortunate to be at Bradford! In addition to my Post-Baccalaureate degree in Elementary Education, I have a B.S. in Political Science and a minor in English. When I'm not teaching, I love spending time with my family (2 kids, a husband, and an energetic black lab), enjoying stories, gardening, and hiking. My daughter is working in her first professional job since graduating from CU, and my son is at CSU. I still remember how crucial it was for them to feel valued and empowered in their elementary school classrooms. Because of this, my favorite part of teaching is getting to know each student and finding out how to support them best to grow academically, take responsibility for their learning, and become positive leaders in our classroom community.
