Welcome!

Welcome to 2nd Grade, where students begin to take more responsibility for their learning.  This discovery starts by exploring the curriculum while working collaboratively with partners or small groups when appropriate. 

Part of this discovery is learning to appreciate each individual's unique talents within the classroom community. In small group work, students learn to look outside themselves and see their place in a larger community. Along the way, they develop critical thinking skills and make connections while growing their academic skills.
