Hello! My name is Kristalina Rowley (formally Ms. O'Bannon) and I am thrilled to be yet again joining our Green Gables Crew for my 10th year of teaching! I have previously taught 1st grade for 5 years and have taught 2nd grade for the past 4 years, all at Green Gables. I am ready to take on more new adventures this year in 2nd grade!
Throughout the past 9 years, I have been involved with our school PTA, Garden Steering Committee, St. Patrick's Day Parade, Garden Club, and during the pandemic I even took a chance with co-leading a remote Spanish Club.
I grew up in the Denver Metro area and am a proud graduate of Jefferson County Public Schools. I graduated from the University of Northern Colorado in May 2016, with my undergraduate in Elementary Education with a Spanish Endorsement. During my studies, I even spent some time abroad learning in Spain!
I recently got married to my wonderful husband Michael! I am also a bonus mom to our giraffe loving young lady named Ally. We are excited to embark on our new journey in life together!
If I am not at school you will find me enjoying the beautiful outdoors of Colorado. I love to go hiking, canoeing, kayaking, camping, and ATV riding. I also enjoy taking family walks with our dog, Brynn, around our neighborhood. My family and I also love to play lots of games. One of our favorites is Avocado Smash. We love making forever memories together!
Since a young age I always knew I wanted to be a teacher. I look forward to the collaboration, learning, and memories throughout this year with our second grade crew!
