Miss. Lucier - Metro Resident

Hello! My name is Katherine Lucier, and I am so excited to begin my journey as a resident teacher with the amazing Green Gables Crew! This is my very first year of teaching, and I feel incredibly grateful to be a part of such a supportive and inspiring school community. I am currently completing my teaching residency through MSU Denver, where I’ve spent the last four years pursuing my degree in Elementary Education. Teaching has been my dream for as long as I can remember, and I’m thrilled to be bringing that dream to life with this incredible group of second graders!

Over the past few years, I’ve had the opportunity to gain experience in both Kindergarten and Fifth Grade classrooms, and I’m now especially excited to dive into the world of Second Grade. I believe this age is full of curiosity, energy, and growth, and I can’t wait to learn and grow alongside my students this year.

I grew up in St. Louis, Missouri, but made the move to Denver four years ago to attend MSU Denver. I’ve fallen in love with Colorado’s beautiful views and endless outdoor adventures. When I’m not in the classroom, you’ll likely find me hiking, exploring new trails, or soaking up the great weather. I also love trying out new restaurants, reading great books, and spending quality time with my friends and family. I’m so looking forward to all the learning, laughter, and memories this year will bring with our second grade crew!
