Dear Families,
I am so happy to welcome you to an exciting school year! For those of you returning to Prospect Valley, welcome back. Those of you who are new, welcome and I hope you see this to be a wonderful school and community. I consider myself lucky to come to work everyday in a place I love.
My name is Britney Anderson, and I am thrilled to be your child’s second grade teacher. I am excited to be returning to Prospect Valley Elementary for my 3rd year. I have also worked as a long term sub in first grade, a kindergarten para, and a reading interventionist here.
I am a Jeffco product myself, attending Hutchinson Elementary, Dunstan Middle School, and graduating from Lakewood High School. I continued my education at University of Northern Colorado with a degree in Elementary Education. This is my 8th year teaching. I have taught or worked with PreK-4th grade. I am also a Cheerleading/Poms Coach at Lakewood High School.
I enjoy spending time with my family and being outdoors. My husband, Matthew and I have a spunky 5 year old, Evalyn. She will be attending PV this year as a Kindergartener. We also have an adventurous almost 2 year old, Audrey. Our girls are our world! My family means everything to me and I am lucky to have my parents, grandparents, and great-grandma living close.
I believe my role as your child’s teacher is to help your child discover their individuality and strengths, foster a love of learning, and do everything I can to make them successful people. I believe in the power of hands-on experiences and learning from our mistakes.
Together we can make this a successful and fun year. I am truly looking forward to it!
