Rules for Printed Materials (Compliance Director)

You may make:

•  1 copy of a chapter

•  1 copy of an article from a magazine or newspaper

•  1 copy of a short story, essay, poem, etc.

•  1 copy of a chart, graph, diagram, etc.

You may copy:

•  Complete poem that is less than 250 words

•  Excerpts of 250 words from longer poems

•  Complete article, story, or essay that is less than 2500 words

•  Excerpt of 1000 words or 10% of larger work

•  One chart, graph, diagram, cartoon, or picture per book or magazine

Quantity Limits for Presentations:

•  Videos and animations (10% or 3 minutes)

•  Text (10% or 1000 words)

•  Music, lyrics, etc. (10%)

•  Illustrations, cartoons, & photographs (no more than 5 from a single artist)
