JMS Library
The JMS Library is the heart of Jefferson Middle School. Library materials are available for all students, faculty, and staff to use. The library collection includes approximately 10,000 print volumes and 15,000 digital (audio and ebooks through Sora OverDrive). The library has more than 64,000 full text online journals available through GALILEO and GALE.
JMS Library Vision Statement
The Jefferson Middle School Library Media Program seeks to create a 21st century future-ready environment that promotes learning for all students by providing equitable access to information in a variety of formats, teaching information literacy skills, and encouraging a passion for lifelong learning. The library media center strives to be a center of collaborative learning that produces innovative students who have an appreciation for critical thinking skills, for reading widely, and for the uniqueness of others.

Library Checkout Policy
Books check out for 2 weeks.
Books may be renewed online for an additional 2 weeks (unless on hold).
Books for assigned projects may be renewed for the length of the project.
Students may check out 2 books at a time. (If you are a fast reader, please check for permission for more!)
No fines for overdue books, but students are responsible for books missing over 6 weeks.
Magazines check out for one week.
