I am originally from a small town, Carbon Hill, in Walker County, Al. I graduated from the University of Alabama in 1997 with my BS degree in Psychology. I graduated from Auburn University with a M.Ed in School Counseling in 2000. I have been a school counselor since graduating with my Master's degree in June 2000. I have worked at all levels: elementary, middle, and high school. I have worked with rural kids, suburban kids, and urban kids. I also have experience working as a Human Resources Manager with Lowe's Home Improvement when I lived in the High Country.

My husband and I have with two terrific girls (Addie and Presley), two miniature dachshunds (Boone and Maggie), a retriever mix (Pheobe), a pit (Roy), a cat (Nola), and five hens (Louise, Eleanor, Carlee, Allison, Fluffy) that give us fresh, beautiful brown eggs (almost) daily!
I am a huge Alabama fan and have always been a Cubs fan. Ryne Sandburg was my hero when I was growing up. I was so excited that he was the Manager of the Smokies when I lived in Knoxville, TN. I was able to see him quite often! I also love to travel and enjoy cooking and baking.
