❄️Snow Days☃️
My name is Imani Alonzo and I'm interviewing Amani Jenkins and here is what she thinks about snow days. “I think snow days are overrated and sometimes it can get so cold that I can feel it in my room.” Thanks Amani for sharing what you think of the snow. Now it's time to review what I think of snow days.
“I think snow days can be pretty fun except for all the ice because you get to stay inside or you can play in the snow and build a snowman or ride your bike across the halls.” anyways I think the next snow days will be pretty fun.
Breakout Boxes
By:Aidan Greene
Landon McCormick: A breakout is a game where you have to use your brain in order to unlock codes and puzzles. A breakout box is a great test equipment used to support critical thinking, testing, and streamline the troubleshooting process at the system. Mrs Lancaster said, "It's a good brain challenger.” To go to this app you go to Breakoutedu.com and just have fun figuring out new things and get your brain working.
Clubs-Opinion
By: Xander Kauffman
I personally don’t like clubs that much and I feel that we should just go back to having early-outs. “I think my club is alright, but I don’t think we need clubs," said AJ. As you can see a lot of people are okay with clubs and some people love clubs and some people dislike or strongly dislike clubs. So in conclusion I feel like we should either go back to early outs or to be able to switch clubs after a while so if people don’t like their clubs they can find a club they like.
Science Center
By: Tristan
The Science Center (SCI) is a place where Kids or Adults can go and learn about science and can have a lot of fun while doing it. Some examples are, you can learn about animals, space etc. This is a field trip for all the 7th grade students if they are able to come. I asked Mrs, Christensen ( a 7th grade science teacher)a couple of questions about the SCI. Here is Mrs. Christensen answers. The first one is, Why are we going to the Science Center? "We are going to the SCI to solidify are understanding of our forces and a motion from the start of the year."
The next one is, What are we going to be doing at the SCI? "They have some really cool hands on investigations that help you review static electricity, gravity, and the engineering and design standards. We also learn about galaxies and black holes. The best part of the SCI is that they have hands on experiences that we can not do here. "
Reach the Summit
By Aj Darboh
Reach the Summit is an after school activity that 40 students attend. They all head to the GYM were they play games and have many activities to choose from. They play board games, dodgeball, and basketball, but they don't do the same thing all the time and choose between different things they do. In the beginning of entering the GYM they give you snacks and let you play around for a while then they have you catch up to your current classes. When you are done you can get back to playing games or keep working and be up to date with your class. Isaias quote onto the Reach the Summit activity says “I enjoy doing it and I feel like it is a great way for people to catch up to class and be able to play games with other people”.
Summit school lunch and breakfast
By: Shamya Anderson
I’m going to be asking people that go to summit how they feel about the school lunch and breakfast.
Mandarin orange chicken and brown rice
I asked Krislynn about how she felt and she said, "I don’t like the chicken. It's too sweet and the rice is too over cooked and too soft."
Nachos
I asked Billy and he said, "Disgusting - the meat is too dry and the cheese is too hard."
Tony’s cheesy bread sticks
I asked Michael and he said, "They put a cheese stick in between bread and slap it on the grill."
Turkey sausage breakfast pizza
I asked Jace and he said, "It’s good and doesn’t taste like turkey."
