Adding an Infinite Campus Messenger Template

1. Log into campus and navigate to the Message Center.

2. Click “New” from the top toolbar.

3. Leave Message Type, User and Template to their default.

4. Select Delivery Devices > Email.

5. In Message Subject, use the following format:

(Building) (Teacher Name): (email subject)

6. In the Message Body, type a generic sentence that will include the following two things: student’s first name and class. Stop when you are ready to insert the student’s name.

To insert a campus field, click on the Campus Field button in the toolbar.

Expand the Demographics arrow and click on "firstName."

Continue your sentence until you come to where you will insert the class name. Select the Campus Field button again, scroll to the bottom under Teacher Messenger and click "courseName."

7. Hit “Save As” and title your template.

If you don’t wish to send the template now, you can hit “Close” and your template is now ready to use.

*If you would like to preview your message, follow these steps.

Select Next, and choose who to send the message to. Click the sections and the recipients.

Select Next, then you will see the message pictured.

If you want to see a specific student, click Review Recipients. Then, in the right-most column after a student's name, click Preview.

8. To send from a template, select “new” message. From the template drop down, select the template you want to use. Click “Ok.”

Edit the subject and body with the specific message you are wanting to include, then send as any other messenger.
