General Media

Wikimedia Commons is a media repository of free-use images, sounds, video, and other media. It is a project of the Wikimedia Foundation.

Audio

Preview the audio clips before downloading. Audio files should be placed in the same folder as the project file. Be sure to pay attention to licensing and, if needed, include the citation for the site(s) from which music is downloaded for projects.

dig.ccMixter is a music discovery site operated by ArtisTech Media, founded by Creative Commons.

Freesound is a collaborative repository of CC licensed audio samples, and non-profit organisation, with more than 500,000 sounds and effects, and 8 million registered users. Sounds are uploaded to the website by its users, and cover a wide range of subjects, from field recordings to synthesised sounds.

Freeplay Music is one of the most trusted production music libraries in the world. With a wide variety of high-quality music and world-class customer service, they have clients from all over the world who use their music in everything from personal web videos to major network television broadcasts and major feature films.

You have easier access to more than 3.9 million 2D and 3D digital items from our collections, including images and data from across the Smithsonian’s 19 museums, nine research centers, libraries, archives, and the National Zoo.

Unsplash is a website dedicated to sharing stock photography under the Unsplash license. Since 2021, it has been owned by Getty Images. The website claims over 265,000 contributing photographers and generates more than 16 billion photo impressions per month on their growing library of over 3.48 million photos.

Note: Some photos are linked to stock websites which require purchasing the photo for use, be sure that the photo is labeled as available through Unsplash to use.

Clip Art

Publicdomainvectors.org, offers copyright-free vector images in popular .eps, .svg, .ai and .cdr formats.To the extent possible under law, uploaders on this site have waived all copyright to their vector images. You are free to edit, distribute and use the images for unlimited commercial purposes without asking permission.

Video

Grand Canyon National Park's B-Roll archive is an online resource designed to provide free, public domain, downloadable video clips for multimedia use.

Videvo offers free stock videos and motion graphics for use in any project. You may use these video clips free of charge, in both personal and commercial productions. Video clips that carry the Creative Commons 3.0 license must be attributed to the original author.
