Setting Up Your Apple ID (Computer Instructions)

  1. Go to https://appleid.apple.com/ and click on Create Your Apple ID (top right corner).

2. Fill in your information:

    • First name

    • Last name

    • Country (leave as United States)

    • Birthday

3. Enter your school email address (firstname.lastname@jdragonmail.us).

4. Enter a password of your choice.

This is separate from your district-issued password, so it will not update when your school password changes. Make sure to remember it!

5. Apple requires two-factor authentication to set up an Apple ID, meaning that you must enter a phone number. Type in the number of a phone that you will have access to.

6. Choose your verification option (text or call).

7. Uncheck these boxes:

  • Announcements

  • Apps, Music, TV and More

  • Apple News Newsletter

8. Enter the code as pictured

9. Click Continue

10. You will get an email from Apple at the email address you entered earlier.

11. Enter the six-digit code.

12. Click Continue.

13. You will be getting a text or call from Apple.

14. Enter the six-digit code.

15. Click Continue.
