ANNOUNCEMENTS:

Classes with Miss Bertrand

BIBLE: We are starting a new unit on Prayer.

MEMORY WORK: Students are working through a chapter of the Bible for memory work (Psalm 1339, Hebrews 11 or John 15)

LITERACY: We will be starting our novel study on 'The Hiding Place' -understanding the setting and context as a historical biography.

SOCIALS: This term we will be focusing on Geography: Canada and the Developing World.

LIT & DRAMA: Monday Morning Announcements are part of Literacy and Drama this year. Students are working on production teams to write and produce weekly MMAs.

Classes with Mr. Haverkamp

MATH: Students have their log-in information in their email. This can be used to access their online textbook. Students are reminded to stay on pace with the schedule that they appears on the top of their course page.

Classes with Mrs. Dykstra

SCIENCE: Students are looking at how humans affect ecosystems and whether it is good or bad.

Classes with Miss Booy

FRENCH: We are strengthening some of our grammar skills and verb conjugations. There will be an -RE verb quiz on Thursday, June 7.

TECHNOLOGY: Students have finished their promotional videos. We will finish the year by going over some different aspects of digital citizenship.

Classes with Mrs. Cegelnik

MUSIC: Music class (Sr. Band) meets twice each week on Mondays and Wednesdays. Students are required to bring their instrument and music folder to each class session. Students are graded on a class-by-class basis as follows: attendance 34%(excused if absent due to illness/appointment), recorder 33%, Tang folder 33%.

Performance: Students are very busy preparing 3 songs for the Spring Concert!
