Looking forward to an amazing 2017-2018 School Year!

Classes with Ms. Anema

Bible: Students will be working on a unit on the book of James. Memory work is sent home each Monday and tested each Friday.

Math: Grade Two students are working on number sense. They are comparing numbers and looking forward to addition and subtraction strategies.

Grade Three students are working on increasing and decreasing sequences.

Spelling: Spelling lists are sent home each Monday and students are tested each Friday.

Literacy and Writing: We are starting a unit on becoming writers. Each student will go through the steps of creating a piece of writing to be proud of.


Classes with Mrs. Cegelnik

Music: Music class meets twice each week on Mondays and Thursdays. Each student needs to have their recorder and yellow Tang folder with them at school for each Music class. Students are graded on a class-by-class basis as follows: attendance 34%(excused if absent due to illness/appointment), recorder 33%, Tang folder 33%.

Classes with Miss Booy

French: This year we will work on the play, "Les Trois Petits Cochons." Students will be presenting their plays on Monday and/or Tuesday afternoon. You may come watch if you like (grade 3&4 will also be presenting and there are not set times for particular students.)

Technology: Students are wrapping up the year by working on their keyboarding skills using All the Right Type.

Dance and Drama: We will focus on dance this semester.

Classes with Mrs. Dykstra

Socials: Students are continuing in the unit on past communities in Canada. Currently, we are reading the book "A Question of Loyalty" and learning how the First Nations helped settlers during their first winter in Canada.

Science: Students are looking to the master builder and are learning to be His apprentices. This week has us looking at shapes in God's design and learning which shape is the strongest.

P.E: The students will be playing a few of their favourite games for the remaining classes.
