Q1 Roundtable (description/reflection)
Q2 Roundtable (slides, description, reflection)
Mid-April status update (slides, description, reflection)
Leading up to the round tables I was nervous. I am not the best public speaker and I was worried that I was going to look down a lot or forget something that I wanted to say. I wanted to make sure I did good. So I definitely had a lot of nerves. I need to trust myself more. I knew my topic, I knew the information and I should have just trusted that I knew what I was talking about. Monday's practice definitely did help because I had practice witht the time and how fast I should or shouldn’t talk. Honestly, I don't know what I would do differently because when I was up there talking it all just came really easily and flowed well.
The second round table was actually pretty smooth. I learned from the last roundtable that I don't have to worry to much because it will have a way of working itself out and going smoothly. I of course had nerves which was a good thing because that meant I cared but I didn't allow those nerves to take over. I was pretty confident going in however because I was at a point where my project was taking off, my community experts were helping me a lot and I was done with the research. This made me proud of what I was doing.
This round table was the hardest because it was in front of my peers. I had a plan of what I wanted to say but once I got there it was like all of that went out of my head and I got really nervous. This roundtable was effective because it allows you to prepare for the exhibition that was coming up.
