Part 1

  • Take some time to explore how digital technology was used to support a sample unit of learning from English teacher Kevin Dowling and his students at St. Joseph's Secondary School Rush, Co. Dublin.

  • This unit explores contemporary poetry and song featuring singer, Denise Chaila and poet, Adam Mohamed.

  • From the English specification, Kevin linked elements of the rationale and 3 learning outcomes in his exploration of poetry and song with a group of 3rd year students. His students were then inspired to contact the artists and respond in writing to their texts.
