Students at SJES will be creating digital projects that allow them to tell a story in their own way. Whether they are creating a fictional tale or making a presentation about a topic that interests them, each student will develop a plan for the best way to tell that particular story. Students will consider what medium to use to tell their stories (video, animation, podcast, 3-D design, presentation, etc.) and follow the steps of the Media Arts process to create a product to share with others.
The Media Arts process is not always a straight line. Students will often visit each station multiple times during the course of one project.
Have you ever felt so focused on something that time just flew by? That’s called being “in the zone.” It’s like being on a magical journey where everything feels perfect and easy.
What is being in the zone?
It’s when you’re so into what you’re doing that you forget about everything else. You feel happy, relaxed, and really good at what you’re doing. It’s like your brain and body are working together perfectly.
Why is being in the zone good?
It’s fun! Being in the zone is a great way to have fun and enjoy what you’re doing.
It helps you learn. When you’re in the zone, you learn things faster and better.
It makes you feel good. Being in the zone can make you feel happy, confident, and proud of yourself.
How can I get into the zone?
Find something you love. The best way to get into the zone is to do something you really enjoy.
Practice, practice, practice. The more you do something, the better you’ll get at it and the easier it will be to get into the zone.
Focus on the present. Try to forget about everything else and just focus on what you’re doing right now.
So, the next time you’re doing something you love, remember to try to get into the zone. It’s a magical place where you can feel happy, confident, and really good at what you’re doing.
