11/3/22

3:00pm- 4:00pm 11/3/22

*Next PTO meeting (topic- Reindeer run finalization) will be on 11/15 @ 3pm *

Our main topic was the Reindeer Run happening on December 3rd.

- Heather Camerio is redesigning our RR shirts and has emailed proof 1 already. We wanted something more up to date and she designed it for us.

- We will have early registration (if the timing company agrees to this) on that Friday before the race. Families can pick up their numbers and possibly their race shirts that day to avoid long lines on race morning. Again- we’re checking with timing company for final approval on that.

- We have added a Fun Run back to the Reindeer run. This will take place immediately after 5k and it will be a 1 mile run/walk for our younger runners.

- We’ve talked with Sheriffs office about 2 patrol cars (at minimum) for help with traffic and safety. Cindy will reach back out to sheriff Mangum this month to nail that down.

- A route map will be on display in the gym to help clear up any confusion and make sure everyone is aware of the route.

- Here are assignments we will need volunteers for. A lot have already been assigned.

1. Rabbit/people mover/pacer - Mrs Mac usually does this for her and we’ll make sure she’s available again this year.

2. We will have Chris McCoy and Candice Brooks at water station.

3. Susan Satterfeild will be on the golf cart (and first aid area) at end of race.

4. Danielle’s neighbor, Tinglehoff is usually the person at the turn around to turn people towards finish line.

5. White Plains Church usually has bananas and water they donate.

- We found a blow up reindeer the PTO will most likely purchase.

*Holiday Store*

We have decided to have a Holiday Trolly this year (possibly 2). We will have items set up to purchase for family members for the holidays.

We discussed having a trolly for the prek/kindergarten/1st grade hall and well as one by the cafeteria for the older grades. It will only be open in the mornings before school and dates to be determined.

Items we discussed were keychains, ornaments, etc. We want these items to be inexpensive but not cheap looking and we want our students to feel proud to give their family member what they bought them.

We will meet again to finalize these details.
