Students at EJMS have the option of singing in Chorus during their sixth and seventh grade years. Three sections of sixth grade Chorus are offered daily, as well as three sections of seventh grade Chorus. Students perform often throughout the academic year, in both formal concert experiences as well as National Anthem gigs and holiday caroling events. Our choral ensembles travel every other year, opposite of our Band program, and we present a musical theatre production on years we do not travel.
Singers have opportunities to share their talents in class on Talent Days every six weeks, as well as experience All-State Chorus (seventh grade only) should they yearn for a more challenging choral experience. Each December, sixth grade singers return to their alma maters to provide a glimpse of what they've learned in the few short months since leaving elementary school. We simply love to perform!
Fall 2019... We are excited to share information about the new musical ensemble at EJMS... 508 Singers! This select ensemble is open to all sixth and seventh grade singers enrolled in Chorus, and requires an audition. Membership requires extra-curricular rehearsals, and singers can expect to perform often throughout the school year. Please join us! Audition information to come...

Mrs. Broman focuses on healthy vocal production, mastery of basic music theory elements and as well as aiding singers in learning incredible middle school repertoire in class. Focus is also placed on helping singers develop into kind human beings through an empathetic heart.
