Four students are chosen by Mrs. Broman to attend Sixth Grade Statewide Honors Chorus at The Classic Center in Athens, GA on Friday and Saturday, February 27 & 28, 2020. Students are chosen based on their effort and behavior during Chorus during the first four weeks of the 2019-2020 academic year. Students learn various pieces of choral music throughout first semester one on one with Mrs. Broman to be perfected in February with students from around the state. To culminate the student's efforts, a final concert is open to student's families on Saturday, February 28, 2020.
2019-2020 presents an opportunity for four new singers to represent EJMS at Sixth Grade Statewide Honor Chorus. They include Anna Grace Kennedy, Emilou Moore, Christian Murray and Angelika Oropeza. Congratulations!

Students enrolled in seventh grade Chorus at EJMS may be chosen to participate in the District 14 Honors Chorus held each November at Brenau University in Gainesville. Singers chosen exhibit focus in rehearsal, an appreciation for the art of choral singing, and are responsive to feedback. Selected singers prepare a folder of choral pieces with Mrs. Broman during the fall months and perfect those pieces with a guest conductor mid-November, prior to a culminating performance.
