It's time for NEON NIGHT! Friends far and wide... please consider signing up for this fun 5K Run/Walk for literacy! We have a virtual option, so if you're not in the Jackson County/Athens Area and can't participate in person, you can still support us from WHEREVER YOU ARE!!
This year our Beta sponsored Neon Night 5K and Fun Run will benefit the Ferst Readers of Jackson County program. Ferst Readers gives free books monthly to all participants, birth - 5 years old. We are happy to partner with them going forward so that our GLOW RUN will have a lasting impact on the literacy rate of our Jackson County kids!

Kindergarten Registration is now open for the 2026-27 school year! Please note, students who are currently enrolled in a JCSS Pre-Kindergarten program do not need to enroll. Please visit www.jacksonschoolsga.org/register to enroll your Kindergarten student today! Register by March 15 to ensure your student participates in face-to-face Kindergarten Round Up!

If we read for 90,000 minutes as a school this month, our principals are trading in their comfy beds for sleeping bags and will be spending 1 night here at school in April!
We’re talking: Putting up their own tent, sleeping bags on the floor, cooking their dinner in the cafeteria, staying up late under the school roof!
How to Help: Every page counts, Eagles! Whether it’s a graphic novel, a bedtime story read by your parents, or a deep dive into a chapter book, make sure you log those minutes. Let's show them just how much this flock loves to read!
We are thrilled to announce all JCSS schools are adopting the Raptor Safe mobile application as part of our ongoing commitment to enhancing school safety, while streamlining visitor management check-in at our schools. The Raptor Safe app builds upon existing visitor procedures, offering a more convenient and secure check-in process for visitors.
What is the Raptor Safe App? The Raptor Safe app offers a convenient and secure way for visitors to manage and verify their identity before arriving at a school. With the Raptor Passport feature, visitors can pre-verify their identity, allowing for a seamless sign-in process when they arrive on campus.
How Does It Work? When visiting a school, visitors can use their secure QR code generated by the app to expedite the check-in process. QR codes automatically regenerate every 5 minutes to ensure security and prevent misuse.

We are excited to offer birthday shout-outs on our new LED sign for $5. Birthday shout-outs will run during the school year only from Friday to Friday. For summer birthdays, feel free to fill out the forms and pay for a 1/2 birthday sign.
