JCSS Job Fair
We are so excited to see all of our EJES "dudes" that sent in their RSVP last week.
PreK, Kindergarten and 2nd grade - 8:15 - 8:45
1st, 3rd, 4th and 5th - 9:15-9:45
If you are joining us for the 1st session at 8:15, we will not begin checking in guests until 7:50. This will allow all students to get to their classrooms after morning arrival. Checked in guests after 7:50 can wait in the media center until their scheduled time.
What is the ReadBowl?
We are excited to join together as a county in participating in the Malcom Mitchell ReadBowl program. READBowl is the FREE global reading competition where PreK-12th grade aged teams around the globe compete to read for the most minutes. The competition begins the week before the American College Football National Championship (2nd Monday in January) and culminates with a live crowning of the World Champions of Reading on the morning of the National Football League’s (NFL) Super Bowl Sunday. At EJES, we will be logging minutes on a calendar in your child's folder. Minutes will be logged into the website each Friday and a class winner will be crowned in February!
Mark this date on your calendars for individual and class pictures.
EJES and the Jackson County School System's 2025-26 Pre-K Lottery Registration is open now through February 16th. Registration for the lottery does not guarantee placement into the state-funded program. For more information and to apply online, visit www.jacksonschoolsga.org/prek.

Student Artists Wanted! If you're a 4th or 5th grader who enjoys creating art in your spare time at home, this announcement is for you! Mrs. Jordan is looking for TWO amazing artists to represent EJES at the Georgia Capitol Art Show in Atlanta this year. You can create a painting, a drawing, take a photograph and print it out, or combine materials to create a cool original piece of art! The deadline is January 10, so you have plenty of time to work on it! Your teachers will be sending home more info on this for you to look over with your parents, but if you have any questions, see Mrs. Jordan
Staying Connected...
Nest Protectors Unite!
What is Nest Protectors?? EJES "dudes" are you interested in being more present EJES and providing a positive male influence on our students? We would love to have you sign up to be a Nest Protector! EJES "dudes" transform into our EJES Nest Protectors by getting to school early and helping to open car doors and greeting students as they arrive. You will arrive at 7:10 and you MUST check-in at the front office to get your visitor's badge before you head out to duty. If you have never had your ID scanned at the front office, please have that ready the first time you arrive for Nest Protector duty. After your duty, feel free to stop by your child's classroom to give them a hug. Check in at the front office, no need to sign up on the google form!
Buy your yearbook today!
It's not too late to have your family or business purchase a metal sign to support EJES through our Eagle Aide parent group! When you purchase a sign, it will be hung for 2 years. What a great way to promote your business and give back to the students at EJES at the same time! Feel free to contact Jeff Rogers when the time is right for you to purchase.
