Our Pre-K Educare room is a child friendly, center based environment where children have a variety of activities and materials to explore. Our Pre-school teachers, Lori Haynes and Kaylee Nieuwkoop, use age appropriate curriculum. Our centers include, but are not limited to: computers, socio-dramatic play, game cubes, math, reading, blocks, brio table, science, music, arts and crafts, cooking, board games, and many more. We also use the cafeteria for meals and snacks.
Our qualified staff provides a loving, safe environment for the children who spend their time with us. The staff helps with homework, designs craft and cooking activities, and organizes games and talent shows for the children. Daily they plan art & science activities, games and have outdoor play. An afternoon snack is provided each day.

We have two Educare Pre-K classes:
4 & 5 year olds are with Mrs. Caitlin Lovin and Mrs. Robin Cloyd (Pre-K assistant). Lori’s class is capped out at 18 students and a waiting list has started.
Caitlin has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Early Childhood Education from East Tennessee State University and a Professional Tennessee Teaching License. Prior to her years of teaching Pre-K, she worked in Educare while she was obtaining her degree.
Robin has worked as an instructional assistant for many years, and we are so happy to have Mrs. Robin as our Pre-K assistant.
3 & 4 year olds are with Ms. Summer Carden and Mr. Nate Livingston (Pre-K assistant).
Summer is currently attending King University to obtain a degree in History with a Primary Education minor. This is Summer's fith year working with preschool age children and her second year with Johnson City Schools.
